Norway's Ministry of Climate & Environment awarded a contract to KSAT, Planet and Airbus to provide open access to high-resolution satellite monitoring of the tropics to combat climate change and deforestation. The program aims to break down barriers to data access for Indigenous communities and is working with the GEO Indigenous Alliance to inspire Indigenous-led solutions to the climate crisis. A webinar introduced the program and featured Indigenous-led use cases, which will be followed by a roundtable (dates TBC) to bring the discussion to a broader group of stakeholders in support of Indigenous communities. You can find more info on the webinar here.
