On July 9, Space4Innovation participated in a forum to discuss opportunities and challenges for increasing Indigenous Peoples engagement in the co-development, co-creation, and use of satellite based ICT tools, contributing to the 2020 United Nations High-level Political Forum on Sustainable Development (HLPF) under the auspices of the UN Economic and Social Council – UNESOC.
This side event served as a platform for Indigenous Peoples to discuss opportunities and challenges for increasing Indigenous Peoples engagement with other stakeholders in the development of ICT tools.
Space4Innovation presented its unique #IndigenousHackathon methodology used to mobilize Indigenous communities and the collective intelligence of the crowd to co-design culturally relevant ICT tools. You can read the full report here.
